Do you guys know -- I can't believe we can only send dark brown, dark green military style blankets/coverlets/throws, BUT are there guidelines? (I mean, besides common sense, which for some people is debatable, you know!!) So a bright red blanket or a shocking pink or something is okay or is that really...

I got off work this morning as a 911 dispatcher at 0700 hrs. Driving home (35 miles) my 14 year old boy calls me and says he is too sick to go to school. Now keep in mind, school has been in session 3 weeks, and he has had this mysterious intestinal malady 5 times so far this school year. So he says...

Kayla said she wanted to be a cheerleader. You should have seen the look on her father's face. Priceless! She is sixteen now...

Yesterday, Jun 6, was D-day. The greatest military invasion in the history of war. The only mention of this historic event in my local news paper was from Mallard Fillmore, a character from the comics. What a shame. It brings to mind the country song, "Have You Forgotten?" concerning 9-11.
