  • Customs forms: only listing 4 items (or 4 kinds)?

    hi all i'm new to this and have read differing things about how strict the 4 item/kinds of items regulation is, on the customs forms. the clerk who handed me some said that i didn't have to keep it to one item per line, but i'm worried about customs disagreeing! the regulations seem to say...

    I always generalize and simply do not say much. I would say snacks, books and leave it at that. I have never had a box refused. I also do not put much $$ down. I usually say between $25 and $30 so as to not invite theft. I was given this tip quite a while ago so. I think the less said the better.

    This is the best thing I found. I called the number below and the boxes were shipped directly to me for free! When I fill out the customs forms I just put snacks, books, food. I really do not go into much detail. I also DO NOT put down the true value as they have been known to go missing. I usually just...

    Maybe the postal employees in suburban Kansas City are more laid back. No matter what's in my AS packages I always list the contents as "snacks and toiletries" or sometimes "snacks, toiletries and reading material." I frequent two post offices and occasionally patronize two others...
